Face The Promise

We interrupt this Friday Hot Guy to bring you the following...

That's right folks - Stevie Nicks kicked off the summer leg of her tour last night in Biloxi, Miss-i-sissy covering Bob Seger's "Face The Promise." "We" would like to dedicate "Face The Promise" to our (okay, my) aunt, who's got "fever dreams, mighty plans, (she) needs a black top road and a wheel in her hand."

Stevie performed 14 songs, starting with "Outside The Rain," the song she always opened with for so many tours. Here is the set list:

Outside the Rain
Dreams
Stand Back
Sorcerer
If Anyone Falls in Love
Landslide
Crash into Me
Fall from Grace
Face the Promise
Gold Dust Woman
Rhiannon
Edge of Seventeen
Rock and Roll (encore)
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You (encore)

Here are the lyrics. Sing along!

I've been down in the delta
Working these fields
Breaking my back
I need a better deal

So long mississippi
So long Alabam
I want to face the promise
Of the promised land

I got the fever dreams
Mighty plans
I need a black top road
I need a wheel in my hands

So long Arizona
Ao long desert sands
I need to face the promise
Of the promised land

I've been tired of this river
These nothing nights
I'm just small towned out
I need city lights

So long allegheny
So long Olean
I need to face the promise
of the promised land

I need a world of change
I need a brand new space
I need an El Dorado
That's go to be some place

There's a line inside
I think I've crossed
You better watch out now
I'm gonna be my own boss

So long Massachusetts
So long Birmingham
I need to face the promise
Of the promised land

So long North Dakota
You must understand
I need to face the promise
Of the promised land

Face the promise (x4)

-Bob Seger

Okay, I got stuff to do today so come back later in the weekend, would ya?

Hugs and love -

"Kev"
