It's MAY DAY!

For those of you in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, we hope you are enjoying your Bank Holiday!

Yesterday we had our first EVER "Corner Contest!" Exciting, right? We have to admit, the contest was a bit skewed because only those of you who knew "Kev" 20 years ago would have been able to answer the question.

The question was, "What Fleetwood Mac song would one hear on "Kev's" answering machine circa 1987?"

The answer is, "Little Lies" written by Christine McVie. "Kev" would say, "I'm not home right now BUT... you can," (and then Stevie Nicks would sing) "tell me lies." I thought this was absolutely brilliant at the time and I just loved it. As a matter of fact, I may resurrect this greeting at both my home and office.

Anyhoo, CONGRATS to "Princess" for remembering that! (I am certain she heckled me mercilessly at the time.) "Princess" has won the following (first ever) "Kev's Corner" tee-shirt...




In the future, "contest" questions will be geared to all "Corner" readers, i.e., if you "stop in" on a regular basis, you should have the same "advantage" as any other reader AND we will give fair warning when a "contest" will occur.

We would, however, like to add this disclaimer about "Corner" contests:

"Kev's Corner" is not, if you haven't figured this out yet, a real news outlet, corporation, business entity, etc... "Kev's Corner," and its' parent company, "Kev Inc.," reserve the right to do whatever we want as it pertains to our contests and any intimated "prize." For example, we may promise a tee-shirt and then send you a mug. Or we may change our minds and send you nothing. We're fickle. We do what we want. (We felt the need to include this since "Princess" contacted us today, threatening legal action if her award was not received in a timely manner.)
