Beautiful Child

IT'S SUNDAY EVERYBODY! GET OUT OF BED! (Or stay in bed, do whatever you want, we don't mind.)

"Kev" is taking the day off today, BUT, in keeping with our "countdown to Stevie" we wanted to share another one of Stevie's songs....

Stevie's "Gold Dust" tour brought her to Melbourne, Australia in February of 2006. The photo above is of Melbourne, along the Yarra River. While there, Stevie performed "Beautiful Child" with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. It is a "love story," with a sad ending, but it is also "beautiful," especially because it is performed with an orchestra. (Also, life is harsh, not all love stories end the way we would like them to. Make sure to teach your children that. Just a little parenting advice from "Kev.")

Anyway, here is the link to Stevie's pretty, but sad, video, BEAUTIFUL CHILD, performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. I hope you enjoy it... (And then listen to something UPLIFTING like the "Stray Cat Strut," by the Stray Cats, to rejuvinate your spirit and get on with your Sunday. No one needs to be crying in a corner.)

I hope you have a WONDERFUL day, wherever you are and however you are spending it.

To Steve, THANKS for making the trek to Atlanta this weekend to join me at the "Chicks" concert, even though you were here less than 12 hours (damn Chicago weather) and didn't see the light of day. It was great seeing you! See you Friday for the BIG show... Only 5 more days.

Finally, here is a picture of Stevie with a misplaced Hurricane Katrina dog.
