Friday's HOT Guy...

It's FRIDAY! We hope you had a GR-EAT week!

To say I'm "feelin' the love" is an understatement. THANKS to EVERYONE for the cards, calls, email, gifts, etc., etc... I think I talked with or heard from EVERYONE I EVER MET yesterday. Turning 40 was actually a ton of fun and a night I won't soon forget. For those of my friends here in Atlanta (including all of the strangers I kissed) THANKS for celebrating with me. It meant the world.

Does everyone know Leslie Jordan, a.k.a. "Beverly Leslie" from "Will & Grace?" (He's the super funny guy who played Karen Walker's nemesis.) While I won't detail all of last night's events, I will tell you that "Kev" (et al) ran into Leslie whilst celebrating. Leslie traveled the country a couple of years ago performing his one man show titled "Like A Dog On Linoleum." (Which has been optioned, he tells me). The show detailed the events of his life (which were tragic) in a comedic format. "Kev" saw the show here in Atlanta with his friend Terry and liked it so much that he of course told Princess all about it and insisted "WE GOTTA GO." So, Princess, Princesses mom and I saw Leslie perform in Chicago. They both enjoyed the performance as well and Princess still quotes lines from the show (which is, in and of itself, HYSTERICAL). SO, all of that said, when I saw Leslie, my very FIRST thought was "I GOTTA CALL PRINCESS!" The very first thing I said to him was "Will you call my friend? We love you!" So I speed dialed Princess, her HOT husband answered (you remember HOTTIE SCOTTIE) and in true "diva" form, I basically said "I have no time for you - where's Princess? Leslie Jordan wants to talk to her." (Sorry HOTTIE - that was very rude on my part...) HOTTIE told me to catch her on her cell because she was at Bunco. (This further confused me because it was 11:30 p.m. on a Thursday (Bunco is on Friday - even I know that) so I said, "Are you sure she isn't having an affair?" Anyhoo, I speed dialed her cell phone, or "mobile" for those of you across the pond, and Leslie left her a message. In his message he said "something, something, this is Leslie Jordan" and I barked at him, "She knows who you are!" Later in the evening we ran into Leslie again and I asked him repeatedly to say "Gin & Regret" (one of his famous lines from "Will & Grace" that JoAnn (I mean "Princess") also enjoys using. (You might recall the post titled "Gin & Regret" which "Princess" titled for me.) At this point, my demands and adoration were wearing on him and he left. (Sorry about that. I had a LOT of margaritas last night.) So there you go - that's my Leslie Jordan story.

Okay, enough about me. Today is a new day. I told you we would be celebrating all month long and our celebration continues today...

Today is "N'Syncer" Lance Bass's 28th birthday! Young, good-lookin' bastard. (Yes, I'm jealous...) I have to say, the more I learn about Lance, the more I like him. Remember, his book is coming out soon. Anyway, our "HOT Guy" for today is LANCE BASS! (We know he reads this as well because all rich, famous and fabulous people just like YOU do.)

We are also celebrating because "Spider-Man 3" opens TODAY. The gays just love superheros. I am no exception to that rule. (We are all going to a midnight show tomorrow! YAY!)

We are also celebrating today because, if you have been counting down the days with us, you know... tonight is RICKY MARTIN!!! I wish you could all join me, Elizabeth, Pat and Leyla, but I will be sure to write about it tomorrow. As an aside, (yes, it's about "me" again..) one of the gifts I received last night was a signed/framed photo of Ricky Martin! Ricky wrote me a nice little love note, I think reminding me of our night in San Juan or something, and I will cherish this forever. I have to say though, Ricky's handwriting is suspiciously similar to my dear friend June's... Ricky writes JUST LIKE a girl (you know, loops, swirls and squigglies). June assured me of the signatures authenticity and I know she NEVER tells tales (especially since I really DID spend a night with Ricky in San Juan in the early '90's). Okay, I may have dreamt that?

The tee-shirts are IN! YAY! (Is anyone beside me excited about this?) I hope so. Next Friday, one week from today, we will have another "contest" giving YOU a chance to snag one of these babies. I am certain they will be a collector's item one day.

Finally, I hope you will come back tomorrow as our "party" continues. We will be celebrating several people who were born on Cinco de Mayo, including another person who means the WORLD to "Kev!"

We hope you all have a GR-EAT Friday and we hope you enjoy these pictures of Lance Bass!

Much love,

"Kev"

I did indeed receive a voice mail message from Leslie Jordan. It sounded more like he was giving me his resume, but that's okay with me. My favorite part is hearing the birthday boy yell at him in the background. It couldn't have been funnier.

Kev suggested I contact Kim Basinger so she can tell me how to get this voice mail on the internet. I doubt she'll return my calls, so I'll just have Scott take care of it. You should all be hearing the vocal stylings of Leslie Jordan in a day or two.

I want to win the contest next Friday for MY MAY DAY. I will will the shirt proudly. I, of course, want an original signed by the staff at Kev's corner (again Just Kev) in honor of my b-day. I'll pick it up when I return, but rest assured.... i'll celebrate May 3 and May 11 for us both. ;-) Hope you had a great birthday bar crawl. It sounded like you did.

See you when i get back. P.

Hey P!
Since it will be YOUR special day, we won't subject you to a silly contest. Let me know what size shirt you would like and it will be on the way!
Hugs!

Princess -
CAN'T WAIT to hear that voice message and share it with the "Corner!" (Do I sound super gay? Break it to me gently - When he left that message for you, I was on my 6th margarita...Even by my standards, that was over my limit..)
