Friday's HOT Guy...

What's up you nasty ho's? (Again... term of endearment.)

It's FRIDAY! "Kev" (that's me) just rolled in from the first leg of a two week business trip.

Since "we" are out of touch with the world, why don't YOU tell US what's going on? The only thing I heard this week was that Pink and husband Carey Hart are divorcing (this saddens us - can't anyone stay together?) and Ricky Martin is dating Nathan Lane (that doesn't sound right - he should be dating me). So your assignment is to fill "us" in. Let "us" know what's going on! (Thanks for your help - "we" really appreciate it. Think of yourself as a field reporter. Yes, I'm delirious tonight.)

The two pictures featured here today were sent by Mr. P.. THANKS! ("We" like them.)

Okay, that's it (I have important things to do now.)

XOXO -

"Kev"

P.S. The spell check featue is working again. This excites me!

Monday's Children Are Filled With Face

"I'm going away for a little while..." (And if you were a Stevie Nicks fan, you most certainly know that that is another song lyric!)

Welcome BACK! How is everybody? "We" hope YOU had a GR-EAT weekend. "Kev" actually IS going away for a little while, two weeks to be exact, (on business).

Before "we" go, "we" wanted to mention this..

Monday's children are filled with face, Tuesday's children are filled with grace. (What a catchy bon mot.) While we are away, Rosie will turn 6 (YAY Rosie!), "A.E." will turn 45 (shout out to A.E.), "Sar" will turn 40 (props to "Sar") and my Grandmother will turn 81 (she's like a 20-year-old though - simply the "hippest" and cutest) To all of you, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I love you tons.

Okay, that's IT for tonight.

Take care for the next couple of weeks and don't forget about the "Corner." "We'll" be back as soon as we can.

XOXO -

"Kev"

Valentine's Day

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY BITCHES!!

"We" hope YOU had a GR-EAT day today.

"We" are sharing THIS video from the Goo Goo Dolls (because Kitten likes this song) and it actually captures how "Kev" feels today (sad, for sure). I normally don't like remakes, but this one is pretty good. Here is "I Don't Want To Know" (written by Stevie Nicks).

Here is Fleetwood Mac's version...

Okay, it's late, I'm tired. "We" will be back soon!

Love,

"Kev"

Boy Toy

It's YOU! YOU'RE back! How are YOU today?

Today is Abraham Lincoln's birthday! Abe was born on this day 199 years ago! (Don't you wonder what life will be like 199 years from now?)

The long and the short of it today is that I have nothing to say. (It's true.) However, I thought I would share the video below (I love Madonna's mucic - we don't mention her here enough.)

Here is "Hung Up."

Madonna fact -

In January 2008 it was revealed that Madonna only drinks specially blessed Kabbalah water, and spends $10,000 a month on it, having it shipped to her wherever she is at the time.

Here are some of my other favorite Madonna songs -

Madonna fact -

Madonna is the only artist who performed at the benefit concerts Live Aid (1985), Live 8 (2005), AND Live Earth (2007).

Finally, "Kev" had THIS Madonna poster (below) hanging in his bedroom (about 20 years ago). The poster was titled, "Boy Toy," named after Madonna's belt buckle (which I also have). At 40, overweight and bald, it's "fun" to wear out.

This bird has flown.

Hasta maƱana!

GR-AMMY!

Who watched the Grammy Awards last night? "Kev" received no less than 7 calls during last night's broadcast (as if I'm an authority on the Grammy's). Okay, two of them were from solicitors who I told, "call back - I'm watching the Grammy's!" Yes, I saw Cher. Yes, I saw Tina. Yes, I saw Cindy Lauper. They all looked stunning. (I also flipped back and forth between "Cold Case Files" and "Forensic Files" so I may have missed some of the show.) My FAVORITE, however, was Carrie Underwood who won two Grammy Awards and looked hotter than ever. I l-o-v-e, love this girl.

Enjoy Carrie's Grammy Award winning song, "Before He Cheats" (wouldn't you love to go "all Britney" on someone's car like that - I still want to scratch "Kev" into someone's/anyone's car - maybe I will do it to my own?).

I can't believe I am going to share what I am about to share (it's shameful really). Whilst hiking on Sunday and discussing the Grammy's with friend "Kitten II," she mentioned that she had seen a show featuring past Grammy Award winners. She relayed that Fleetwood Mac won the Grammy for their "Rumours" album. I corrected her and told her that couldn't be. (I thought the only Grammy Fleetwood Mac had ever won was for Stevie Nicks' "Dreams.") Instead of arguing the point, we agreed to disagree (silently - we didn't actually say that, but instead started pointing out hot guys on the hiking path). (She didn't want to make me mad.) I was so anxious to determine whether "Kitten" was correct or not, I pulled into a FedEx Kinko's on my way home, logged on and Googled the topic... I learned that "Kitten II" was CORRECT! Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" album won the Grammy Award for "best album" in 1978, at the 20th Annual Grammy Awards. In all fairness, I was only 10 at the time they won the award and I am certain I was probably asleep at the time their award was handed out. ("Dreams," from the "Rumours" album, remains Fleetwood Mac's only #1 hit, which I am certain is what I was thinking of.) I called "Kitten II" and told her I could never speak with her again. She suggested it was "probably best we keep this between ourselves." I think my Fleetwood Mac "super fan" status was JUST revoked. I used to be so good too (I knew all things Stevie Nicks). Anyhoo, I guess it's back to class for me!

Have a GR-EAT week everyone!

Hugs -

Rooms On Fire

What's UP everyone? It's SUNDAY! It's a beautiful day here in the A-T-L and I hope it is beautiful wherever you are.

Please enjoy these videos of a song we have shared here before (I can't help it...). I really liked Stevie's outfit/look during this time (late '90's). Does anyone notice anything different about Stevie in the first video? I will just tell you - she later had them removed...

The second video is a remix (I always enjoy remixes).

I never ever get tired of this song (and would like to dedicate it to David Beckham). By the way, since David has appeared in these "adverts" (that's what the Brit's call ads, advertisements, etc...), sales of these underwear have gone through the roof.

And since I am posting videos you may not watch anyway, please enjoy (or don't enjoy - your choice) THIS extended remix of "Little Lies," another "favorite." Stevie's background vocals make the song if you ask me.

TODAY is George Stephanopoulos's 47th birthday. George, as you know, is currently a pundit for ABC but served as Bill Clinton's campaign advisor. George grew up in Cleveland, Ohio (and I thought I would mention that since another "HOTTIE" (our friend June) came from Cleveland as well). Anyhoo - Happy Birthday George!

(No one else important/HOT was born on this day, unless, of course it happens to be YOUR "special" day.)

That is IT for today (I have other things to do you know.)

L-U-V,

"Kev"

Planets Of The Universe

Welcome BACK everyone! Yesterday's "HOT Guy" was SO hot, that we are posting his picture again (something unprecedented here at the "Corner").

The "gosh darn" (replaced by five swear words "we" wrote originally) spell check feature still isn't working... I am very passionate about spelling, so this concerns me, but mean no offense. Anyhoo, bear with us.

Okay, believe it or not, there are still MORE Stevie Nicks songs we have not shared here. Here is the dance version of "Planets Of The Universe." (The FIRST time I met Stevie, she gave me a CD (wrapped in Stevie Nicks wrapping paper), of THIS song!) I won't tell you what the lyrics mean (create your own meaning), but the song "speaks to me" and brings me back to a certain place and time. Okay, it just brings me back to the first time I met Stevie when she gave me this CD, but the song is great. (For those of you wondering, like me, there are 8 planets in our universe, surrounded by BILLIONS of stars.)

As you know, Stevie is preparing for her spring/summer tour, and it's ALL we can think about, so please bear with "us" as "we" will probably be mentioning her quite a bit. (Take this time to explore other blogs - there are PLENTY out there.)

No huge celebrities were born on this day ("we" checked) BUT "we" FAILED to mention that our dear L'il Kitty is also celebrating a birthday later this month. Her 6th! She is the cutest thing EVER and the person I miss seeing the MOST (because she is growing/changing, etc... and always nice to me/not flakey like most of my adult friends). "We" promise to visit Phoenix in 2008!

Okay, I think that's IT for today. Get out, enjoy your weekend and come back soon!

L-U-V,

"Kev"

Friday's HOT Guy...

Alright. You're here, "we're" here and it's Friday (almost...).

This week's "HOT Guy..." is 29-year-old "Supernatural" actor Jensen Ackles. I didn't know who Jensen was until, well, today BUT Jensen has starred in such "hits" as "Days of Our Lives" (never watched that show), "Dark Angel" (never watched that one either) and "Dawson's Creek" (never watched that).

Have a GR-EAT weekend everyone!

Dov'e L'amore

If you're a big homo (like me), than THIS (the article below) is GR-EAT news... (It's unfortunate I made a "no concerts in 2008" pact with myself. You see, I want a Mercedes and am trying to learn a skill I don't currently possess - saving.)

Anyhoo, "we" hope YOU get to catch Cher in concert in Las Vegas. Her new show sounds fantastic. (I saw her "farewell tour" 5 times - I just couldn't say goodbye.)

I wish those good-for-nothin' lazy asses at Google would fix the frickin' spell check feature. (Just kidding - we are sure they are trying...)

Here's the article...

Cher beat the odds at every turn in her 44-year career, so it's no surprise she's betting on an artistic rebirth in Las Vegas.

The indestructible diva, who retired from touring in 2005, will star in a song-and-dance spectacle starting May 6 at the 4,100-seat Colosseum in Caesars Palace. She'll perform four shows weekly for one month, then return mid-August through early October, leapfrogging stints with Bette Midler. Her pact with promoter AEG Live extends three years.

Cher, 61, promises a "visually unbelievable" hit parade that entails elaborate choreography, complex staging, eye-popping costumes, 14 dancers and four aerialists.

"Creatively, we're doing something that's never been done with sets," she says. "Getting the whole thing in book form, in pictures, has taken months. Our set moves down from the ceiling, in from the sides, up from the floor. We have screens in the foreground, the center and the back. We can change a city into a forest in two seconds. You'll see a different stage for every song." (USA Today)

Smell ya later! (I have to tell you, I was talking with HOT Guy Scott yesterday, you know, "Princess's" hubby, and he said that to me, in recounting how he left the office early due to inclimate weather. Such a straight guy thing to say. It was hysterical.)

"Kev"

Watch this video, "Dov'e L'amore" (For those of you who don't speak Italian, she's asking, "where's the love?")

Super Tuesday

It's SUPER TUESDAY people! No, I am not referring to the fact that people all over the nation are voting for their presidential hopeful... It is SUPER because Stevie Nicks has added a spring/summer tour. Yes, that's right. Stevie has already announced two tour dates beginning in April. The tour will be launched in connection with Stevie's "Soundstage" DVD release (recorded in Chicago last October). (I am NEVER going to be able to retire or get that Mercedes I want...)

Heath Ledger's toxicology report (revealing the cause of his death) will be released tomorrow. Who cares!;? STEVIE NICKS IS TOURING THIS SUMMER. (That trumps anything else I care to write about.) Anyhoo, Heath's passing was sad. By a show of hands, who thinks he OD'd?

February is a HUGE month. ("We've" been meaning to mention that.) Several of you are celebrating your birthday this month! Our dear friend "Sar" will be turning 40 and I am happy to say I will be celebrating with her (and others, including our dear friend "Princess") at her big bash in Chicago later this month. My aunt, who stops in from time to time, is turning 45 and my Grandmother is turning 81. AND, STEVIE NICKS IS TOURING THIS SUMMER!

The spell check feature of the blog is still NOT working (and it's a lot of pressure spelling all of these words right).

Okay, I am so excited about the Stevie Nicks news, that I have to go (I mean, stop writing). "We" will let you know all of the dates as soon as they are available.

Ciao for now,

"Kev"

Not Hot

Hey EVERYBODY! Welcome BACK!

I don't feel like writing anything tonight, but read this article/watch this clip. Unlike the above picture, the clip is NOT hot (sorry), yet fascinating.

THEN... watch the second clip featuring country singer/conjoined twin REBA! All this talk of the Tree Man had me wondering about Reba. 'Lo and behold, "we" found her on YouTube. I don't even know what to say, except that I feel really sorry for her sister, who is forced to sit there and listen/drag her ass around on a cart (you can't see it in the video, but Reba is shorter than her sister). I know... I'm going to hell. No, that is not me talking at the end of the video, but that is my favorite part...

Remember to vote tomorrow!

Hugs -

32 year old Dede lives in a remote village in Indonesia with his two children, trying to care for them. Dede, a former fisherman, has an extraordinary skin condition: he has root like structures growing out of his body - branches that can grow up to 5cm a year and which protrude from his hands and feet, and welts covering his whole body.

He is known locally as 'Tree Man' and his condition has baffled local doctors for 20 years. In an attempt to earn a living to support his family, he is part of a circus troupe, displaying his Tree Man limbs along with others afflicted with skin deformities in 'freak' shows.

Dr Anthony Gaspari, a world expert in skin conditions from the University of Maryland travels to Indonesia to attempt to diagnosis Dede's mysterious condition. He takes skin samples for biopsies back in the USA. What will he discover?

We go on an intimate journey with the extraordinary Dede, as he tries to eek out a living in a circus troupe to support his family, and as he is given medical help by Dr Gaspari. The identification and possible cure of his condition, could change his whole life.

Half way across the world, in Romania, farmer Ion Toader is discovered to have a similar extraordinary 'Tree Man' condition, with growths all over his hands. He has not been able to drive a tractor for five years. A Romanian surgeon offers to give him an operation to remove his growths.

She's My Crack

I know, I know... You don't want to see any more pictures of Stevie Nicks. I can't help it... I'm addicted. (I was going to say, "she's my crack," but that doesn't sound right, does it?)

The pictures below were taken on Saturday night in Anaheim, California. Simply stunning. Enchanting. Stunning AND enchanting. Magical. Magical and enchanting. Mystical really. But mostly enchanting. (Alright, I'll stop.)

"We" are running out of Stevie Nicks YouTube videos to share with you (although one of my favorite songs, "If I Were You," from "Rock A Little" is nowhere to be found. It's a great song.) However... If you saw the Keanu Reeves/Charlize Theron movie, "Sweet November," then you may have heard THIS song, which is "Touched By An Angel." (I think it is about death though. Listen to it/watch it, let me know what you think she is singing about.)

The kind folks at Google are working on fixing the spell check feature. ("We" knew you were concerned...)

You may have noticed "we" removed the "John Edwards For President" link from the blog because John is no longer in the race (I will miss seeing him so often). "We" also removed the "Barack Obama For President" link BECAUSE the "Corner" is officially endorsing Hillary Clinton. ("We" know she would be happy since like 7 people read this blog. "We're" far reaching, aren't we? Who needs Oprah?) Anyhoo, our mind (there is only one here) is made up. Go Team Hillary!

That's IT for today ("we" posted twice!)

Have a GR-EAT (and enchanting) week everyone!

Touched by an angel (or at least a few fairies),

"Kev"

I'm.... Matt Damon

Wut up bitches? It's Super Bowl Sunday! I am not going to pretend to know (or care) about this (or any) Super Bowl (I'd be lying to you) BUT I do know that Tom Brady is HOT Guy caliber/quality and wanted to share these pics...

The "spell check" feature is still not working so please forgive any words we have fucked up. (Sorry for the swear.)

Did everyone see the Sarah Silverman/Matt Damon video? "Princess" called on Friday to ask if I had seen it (I hadn't) but here it is in case you missed it... The back story, in case you don't know (like me), is that talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon have an ongoing (friendly) feud. Jimmy and comedienne Sarah Silverman are a couple/dating. Jimmy says on his show, multiple nights/over a period of time, "We're out of time. Our apologies to Matt Damon" (as if Matt Damon were a scheduled guest that Jimmy didn't have time for). Here's Matt's retaliation (with the help of Jimmy's girlfriend). It's hysterical.

OK kids, that's IT for today. I hope you have a GR-EAT week!

What Else?

HELLO! Happy Ground Hog Day! That damn rodent saw his shadow, thus predicting 6 more weeks of winter. (Is he ever right? What's his success ratio, anyone know?)

How are YOU today? Welcome back/c'mon in (you know the drill).

Stevie Nicks performed in Indio, California last night (which is somewhere near Palm Springs, I believe). While I was not there (sadly), I thought I would share these pictures from the show swiped from an unofficial Stevie fan site, Stevie Nicks Info. Stevie will turn 60 in May of this year. She looks GR-EAT, doesn't she? Anyhoo, I just love her (but you know that). The cape/shawl that Stevie is wearing in the pictures below is the cape/shawl that she wears when she performs "Stand Back," which is the song that Stevie opened with last night. If you are in L.A., you can see Stevie tonight at the Honda Center. (I ALMOST went but then remembered that I am broke).

What else? (I can't think of anything else at the moment...)

Oh, the "spell check" feature on the blog is not working so please forgive any words that aren't spelled correctly... (I do what I can...)

If you are in Atlanta, stop reading this and get outside. It's in the 50's!

Love and hugs -

"Kev"
